We are thrilled the announce the launch of our new line of Kombucha drinks! Our product will be available mid-September 2014. We will be brewing and bottling our lovingly cultured beverage at the Center for Culinary Enterprises in West Philadelphia – an artisan food community that is also an entrepreneurial incubator for new food businesses. Our Kombucha Journey
We are Ben & Becca, and we’re on a journey of real food and natural health. We had been experiencing unhappy bellies from our food, environmental toxins, and plain old everyday stress, so we started asking about it. It turns out we weren’t alone! Inspired by our best friend to start making raw Kombucha at home, we noticed a tangible shift in how we felt, and how our bodies were functioning. We also noticed our ‘buch was different than the ones on the shelf – less sugar, light effervescence – a true Kombucha for a better belly. That’s why we created Balanced Brew, a Kombucha we feel proud to recommend as a beverage fit for daily consumption in a real food, healthy diet.
Our Kombucha is focused on the flavor of the tea, not sugary juices or forced carbonation. Our delicious brew is sweet, yet tart, and surprisingly low in sugar. Our taste testers always say its “refreshing”. We recommend 8oz. daily for a better belly, and we’ll offer up some of our favorite recipes for mixing up our Kombucha at home (not in the bottle) so it remains pure and healthy.
What is Kombucha?
A lightly effervescent, sweetened tea, fermented by living cultures that naturally produce probiotics, vitamin B, natural organic acids, enzymes and amino acids; a functional food that boosts digestion, metabolism, and the detoxification functions of the liver.* Kombucha originated in Asia and has been consumed for centuries for its health benefits.
